About The Company
CONXAI has built a no-code, agentic AI platform for the AEC and physical industries, focused on knowledge-automation. We automate high-stakes, knowledge-intensive workflows traditionally trapped in siloed data, fragmented tools and tacit (undocumented) human expertise. Our multi-agent systems perform complex reasoning in the physical world; and transform bespoke, service-heavy processes into scalable Service-as-a-Software automation. CONXAI is trusted by some of the leading AEC and industrial enterprises in the US, Europe, LATAM and Japan.

Your Role

Help encode the DNA of Construction into our AI

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical intern who sits at a rare intersection: a Civil Engineering student who speaks the language of Data Science.

In this internship, you will learn how AI understands construction concepts, logic, workflows, and site dynamics. Working closely with our senior Domain Experts, Product Managers, and AI Engineers, you will get hands-on experience ensuring our AI models deliver practical, high-fidelity value to the construction site.

  • Domain Modeling Support: Assist in mapping and translating traditional AEC workflows and methodologies (like Lean, TVD, IPD) into logical structures that our AI agents can understand
  • Framework Implementation: Help the team build out our platform’s Domain Knowledge Base, learning how to connect BIM-to-Field relationships with productivity metrics
  • Data Strategy & Processing: Work alongside our Machine Learning team to clean, structure, and categorize AEC datasets (visual, sensor, and textual) used to train our agentic models
  • Product Insights: Shadow our product team to understand the "voice of the customer." Help analyze user feedback and construction pain points to assist in organizing the product backlog
  • Testing & Validation: Help test AI outputs against real-world construction scenarios and industry standards to ensure accuracy and practical value

Who You Are

  • Education: Currently pursuing (or recently graduated with) MS or PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Data Science, or a closely related field
  • Data Science Foundation: Basic literacy in data science concepts with academic or project experience using Python, SQL, or statistical modeling
  • AEC Knowledge: Familiarity with modern delivery frameworks (Lean Construction, TVD, IPD) through coursework or previous internships is a strong plus
  • Analytical Mindset: You are fascinated by the idea of structuring complex domain knowledge into formats that computers can learn from
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills, with a knack for translating technical engineering concepts into plain language

Why CONXAI

  • Edge of Innovation: Be at the absolute forefront of AI in the construction tech space
  • Mentorship & Growth: Work side-by-side with a global team of senior ML engineers, software engineers, and industry practitioners who are invested in your learning
  • Impact: Contribute to a product that directly impacts how global infrastructure is built
  • Future Opportunities: Competitive intern salary with the potential to transition into a full-time role
