The Role

Are you ready to launch your career at the intersection of enterprise IT, automation, and AI with a global technology leader? As a CIO IT Systems & Automation Intern at Kyndryl, you’ll help modernize and automate the internal systems that keep our business running — supporting applications, integrations, and automation initiatives that impact how thousands of Kyndryls work every day.

You’ll work with teams across CIO—such as Operations, Finance, and HR IT to:

  • Support critical enterprise applications like SAP, CRM, and ServiceNow

  • Build and test integrations and automations across systems and data platforms

  • Improve reliability, compliance, and reporting through scripting, configuration, and documentation

  • Work hands-on with AI and automation platforms such as Workato, SPM, and Power BI to help streamline enterprise processes, support system integrations, and enable data-driven decision-making across CIO functions.

Who You Are

You’re a curious early career technologist who wants to understand how large-scale IT systems, integrations, and automations come together inside a world-class CIO organization. You may not be an expert yet, but you’re eager to learn, build, test, and make things work better.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Are pursuing a degree (or have equivalent experience) in computer science, information systems, engineering, cybersecurity, data/analytics, or a related field

  • Have an interest in how AI, low-code automation, and systems integration can cut down on manual tasks and streamline processes

  • Have foundational knowledge in at least one of the following:

    • Enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, CRM, ServiceNow, HR/Payroll systems)

    • Databases or data platforms

    • Scripting/programming (Python, SQL, PowerShell, Java, or similar)

    • Integration or automation tools (APIs, workflows, low code platforms)

  • Enjoy troubleshooting, testing changes, configuring systems, or improving how information flows between tools

  • Communicate clearly — especially when explaining technical concepts to non-technical partners such as Finance or HR

  • Bring a growth mindset, ask questions, and enjoy experimenting and iterating

  • Value inclusion, collaboration, and teamwork, and believe diverse perspectives drive innovation
