We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven marketplace risk intern to support our Trust teams in protecting the integrity of our marketplace. This role focused on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with sellers, including fraud, policy abuse, operational non-compliance, and brand related risk.

The intern will gain hands-on experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Brand Integrity, Customer Service, Engineering, and Product teams to help ensure a safe and trusted seller ecosystem.

What you’ll do

  • Support investigations into high-risk seller behavior, including fraud patterns, cancel rate anomalies, and policy violations
  • Analyze seller performance data to identify emerging risk trends and systemic vulnerabilities
  • Assist in developing and refining risk signals, detection rules, and seller monitoring
  • Conduct root cause analysis on seller escalations and marketplace incidents
  • Help maintain documentation for risk playbooks, escalation processes, and enforcement guidelines
  • Partner with stakeholder teams to understand risk indicators
  • Support special projects focused on seller quality, verification integrity, and brand protection
  • Prepare summaries and insights for leadership presentations

About you

  • Experience: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Criminal Justice, or Information Systems
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Comfortable working with data (Excel, Google Sheets; SQL a plus)
    • Detail oriented with strong written documentation skills
    • Ability to think critically about fraud patterns and behavioral risk
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
    • Interest in marketplaces, e-commerce, fraud prevention, or brand protection

Important Information

  • The program will run from March 12th, 2026 to March 30th, 2026
  • Subsidized housing is available upon request
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays are mandatory “In Office” days in our Detroit Office

Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $25 per hour. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
