About the Role

This is a long-term internship opportunity, not a summer-only position. Candidates should be able to commit to the role for up to two years and remain available during school breaks.

 

Marketing Intern:

Coordinate with the Marketing Manager the production of Central Bank of the Ozarks Market advertising, marketing, public relations, internal and external publications, social and digital media, event management and promotions, sales collateral and programs. Regularly communicate with other office locations, branches and other departments.

Plan and implement research gathering and information projects relating to competitive analysis, demographics, financial and estate planning, customer satisfaction, general marketing research, online digital properties analytics.

Coordinate production of newsletters, intranet communications, electronic communications, advertisements, website, email marketing, online, social and new media communications, and various reports on a regular basis and other reports as needed. 

Coordinate and perform a range of support activities for Marketing related to Central Bank of the Ozarks Market and Central Trust Company. Report any exceptions promptly and prior to distribution.

Operate a personal computer to compose and edit correspondence, reports and/or memoranda from verbal direction, or from knowledge of established department/division policies; prepare, type, edit, proofread, and distribute agendas and/or minutes of meetings; and handle internal desktop publishing requests. 

Operate a variety of office administration equipment such as PC, copy machine, , calculator, printer/scanner, etc. Proficient use of software applications including, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer; Graphics programs such as Adobe In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat will be used, but prior knowledge is not required but helpful; online programs and web-based media related to e-mail marketing, social media, digital media, paid search, and others. 

Consistently demonstrate proficiency in providing exemplary customer service in person and by telephone. Maintain a friendly, positive, and professional attitude. Resolve difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.

Advise Marketing Manager of problems with procedures, policies, improper calculations, deadlines, and other problems proactively for effective resolution of problems and to address needs.

Maintain neat and orderly work area and ensure that all confidential records are secured and/or disposed of properly.

Complete or attend all required training and continuing education as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

Sophomore in college majoring in journalism, marketing or a business related field preferred.

 

This internship position is located in the Marketing Department at the Main Bank Facility for Central Bank of the Ozarks Market. Coordinates marketing activities, advertising, public relations, social and digital media, research, event planning, community involvement, and new product and promotional introductions for Central Bank and Central Trust Company. Provides research/analysis to Marketing Manager including reports and other related needs including CRM and MCIF customer analysis, market research, desktop publishing and publication writing and editing. Requires knowledge of products and services, organizational policies and procedures, and considerable attention to detail and accuracy. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations
