This part-time internship is a hybrid role located in Hawaii and will be 13 hours per week. You will report to the Vice President, States.
Common Cause is seeking interns to work with our Hawaii team relating to voting and elections, redistricting, and democracy reform. Interns will assist with advocacy campaigns, grassroots engagement, research, policy development, communications, and/or member outreach and events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a commitment to a fair and transparent democracy, and who is interested in learning more about government affairs and the legislative process.
\n- Support advocacy and policy research on AVR and FIC initiatives
- Assist with outreach and education on Democracy Dollars programs
- Create and schedule social media content to promote campaigns
- Track engagement and help expand digital reach
- Draft emails, talking points, and action alerts for supporters
- Support coalition meetings and community events
You will be a good fit for this internship if you have:
