About the Role

Description

The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team in all phases of financial operations and reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in accounts payable and receivable processes, journal entry preparation, financial record maintenance, and month-end close support. The intern will contribute to maintaining accurate financial data and supporting timely reporting in alignment with company policies and deadlines.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with data entry, invoice processing, expense report review, and basic account reconciliations
  • Support the preparation and recording of journal entries to assist with month-end close
  • Maintain organized and accurate digital and physical filing systems for financial documents, including invoices, receipts, contracts, and statements
  • Assist with vendor and customer setup, updating records, and responding to routine inquiries
  • Prepare basic financial reports and ad hoc requests, such as AP/AR aging reports and transaction listings
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet time-sensitive deadlines


Requirements

Essential Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
