Are you interested in vehicle electrical systems, wiring architecture, and hands-on troubleshooting? Roush is seeking an Electrical Engineering student to support our Vehicle Engineering team for the summer of 2026 (May-Aug). This internship provides exposure to vehicle electrical system design, CAN communication, diagnostics, harness development, and validation testing.

This position is a paid internship located in Allen Park, MI with occasional work in Livonia, MI.

To be considered as an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will need:

  • Minimum junior standing at a college or university
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronics fundamentals
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong desire to learn vehicle electrical systems design, development, and testing as it relates to the automotive industry
  • Willingness and desire to get hands-on experience
  • Willing and able to work a 40-hour work week M-F onsite

A successful Body Engineering Intern may also have:

  • Experience with CAN tools or vehicle diagnostics
  • Exposure to schematic or harness software
  • Prior internship experience in an automotive-related environment
  • Participation in Formula SAE / Baja / EV / Robotics project teams
  • Interest in automotive electrical systems and vehicle technology
