This internship is a full year, part time during the semester and full time during the summer. Students must reside near Boise, ID for the duration of the internship.
We are seeking top talent that has a passion for winning and making a difference. Hershey’s Business Analyst Intern position provides a launching pad for our future sales leaders. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our customers, analyze customer and shopper insights to build selling stories and develop your business acumen skills.
Hershey’s Business Analyst internship is a mix of sales, marketing and marketing research – Hershey’s Category Strategy & Insights department researches and analyzes data to understand the present, and then utilizes that information to impact the future. Hershey’s Business Analyst has the ability to influence the marketplace by making strategic recommendations within the following: item assortment, product placement, promotions and pricing.
As a Business Analyst intern, you will have the opportunity to work with the following departments:
- Category Development
- Hershey Sales for Albertsons Companies
- Hershey Field Sales
- Marketing
- Information Systems
Responsibilities
• Develop/Implement specific Category Management Projects/Reports, to support Hershey’s sales goals at Albertsons Companies
• Develop fact-based analysis of customer business trends utilizing a variety of data sources
• Utilize all appropriate Hershey business systems to identify key selling opportunities for Albertsons Companies, to include: IRI, Symphony Retail (Loyalty), APT, Space Management, etc
• Analyze sales information regarding key category programs & promotions (Seasons, Summer Olympics, NCAA, etc)
• Identify/Develop productive new processes to enhance Hershey’s Business Analyst team, which includes creating efficiencies within Hershey’s Sales organization and other cross functional departments
Qualifications
• A current undergraduate with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher (preference is 3.2 or higher)
• Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Analytics & Mathematics are highly preferred, but others will be considered
• Demonstrated leadership & academic achievement in student and extracurricular activities
• High level of integrity

• Professional communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Customer service orientation
• Effective planning and organizing skills
• Previous internship and/or sales experience is a plus

Work Schedule
• This position will begin with 20-25 hours per week in the spring semester (part-time). When the spring semester ends the position will transition to 40 hours per week in early May (full-time) through the summer. The Duration of the internship is dependent upon the student’s performance, with the goal to finish upon the student’s graduation (ie, multiyear internship possible). Successful interns will be offered full-time, entry level, Sales/Analysts positions within The Hershey Company.
