Reports To: LMS/HRIS Specialist
Duration: Summer 2026
Position Summary
MOSS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Systems Intern to support the administration and optimization of our Workday Learning Management System (LMS). This internship provides hands-on experience in HR technology, learning operations, reporting, and systems administration within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
The intern will assist with course configuration, reporting, user support, system testing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the learning experience for both hourly and salaried team members.
Key Responsibilities
Workday LMS Administration
- Assist with eLearning and ILT course configuration, and maintenance within Workday Learning
- Upload and manage learning content (SCORM files, videos, documents, assessments)
- Configure learning assignments, enrollments, and campaigns
- Add relevant existing courses into these programs for seamless learner experience
- Support user access, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
Reporting & Analytics
- Run and analyze standard and custom Workday learning reports
- Track training completion metrics and compliance reporting
- Support data validation and auditing for accuracy
- Assist in creating dashboards for HR and Operations leaders
Process Improvement
- Document LMS processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support testing of new Workday releases and system updates
- Identify opportunities to streamline administrative workflows
- Assist with automation initiatives related to learning assignments
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with HR, Operations, and field leaders to ensure training accuracy
- Support onboarding learning assignments for new hires
- Assist in communication campaigns related to training initiatives
Learning Objectives for the Intern
- Gain hands-on experience with enterprise HRIS systems (Workday)
- Understand LMS configuration, governance, and reporting
- Develop analytical and systems thinking skills
- Build foundational knowledge in learning operations and compliance training
- Exposure to workforce development strategies in a multi-state organization
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Human Resources
- Information Systems
- Business Administration
- Data Analytics
- Organizational Development
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred
- Interest in HR technology or systems administration
- Familiarity with LMS platforms or Workday (academic exposure acceptable)
- Experience with data analysis or reporting tools
