About the Role
 

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an opening for a summer 2026 Geotechnical Engineering Intern in San Jose, California.  The successful candidate will work alongside geotechnical staff engineers in the performance of geotechnical field evaluations and construction observation. Duties will include assisting with geotechnical subsurface evaluations and geotechnical calculations, and performance of construction phase observation and reporting. Additional duties may include assisting in our in house laboratory and assisting Principal engineers with project related tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Bachelor's or Masters’ program
  • Completion of Geotechnical Engineering-related courses such as soil mechanics, foundation engineering, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical information
  • Able to perform a wide range of physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds of equipment on occasion
  • Valid driver's license is required
