Automation Intern - Operational Enablement

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a motivated and analytical Intern to support automation and operational enablement initiatives across the organization. The intern will work closely with the Automation Lead and gain hands-on exposure to automation strategy, process improvement, governance, and project execution.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented student who is curious about digital transformation, automation (RPA/AI), and operational excellence. The right candidate is proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

This position will be a hybrid position based out of our Somerville, MA corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities: 

• Support the Automation Lead in project planning and coordination across multiple automation initiatives
• Assist in tracking milestones, risks, and action items
• Support identification and documentation of automation opportunities
• Assist in process mapping (e.g., creating process flows and documenting current vs. future state)
• Assist in data collection and basic analysis to support business cases
• Contribute to scoring and prioritizing automation opportunities
• Prepare executive-ready PowerPoint materials and summary documents
• Conduct research on automation tools, best practices, and industry trends

Basic Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong interest in automation, AI, process improvement, or digital transformation
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to synthesize information clearly
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  
• Must have a reliable form of transportation 

Preferred Requirements: 

• Coursework in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or Artificial Intelligence
• Exposure to enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or process mapping tools
