About the Role

Job Summary

Job Summary

Reports to the Lead Technologist, assigned technologist and/or Radiology Supervisor to receive assignments or directives.  Receives additional work orders from Radiologists, Physicians, and department management.

  • Under the guidance of a Radiographer, Assess the patient’s condition. Identifies patient.
  • Under the guidance of a Radiographer, Performs diagnostic imaging procedures (Part 2)

  • Assists physicians with procedures.

  • Under the guidance of a Radiographer, Assists in maintaining patient and room workflow.

  • Participates in quality management activities
  • Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.

Education

Student must be in the third or summer semester of American Medical Association accredited training program.

Licensure/ Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
