About the Role

COMPANY OVERVIEW 

The Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is a joint venture owned by three Prairie centrals created to digitally transform and modernize payment services for credit unions in the Prairies. PPJV’s goal is to ensure prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, modernized payments processing infrastructure. PPJV invites candidates to apply from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. 

ROLE SUMMARY:

PPJV is hiring for a creative, entrepreneurial, and passionate student to join our Client Experience team. This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person who can manage multiple tasks. This individual is a team-player with an entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to learn and ability to manage multiple tasks while adapting to shifting priorities. The successful candidate will assist with communications tasks including, but not limited to writing and editing, web-based communications, social media content and strategy development, digital asset management, and other communications and administrative support tasks as assigned. Our intern opportunities have been specifically designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply their academic studies and gain valuable experience through meaningful and challenging work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist in the development of communications material for corporate initiatives and channels including key messaging development
  • Collaborate on social media content creation and scheduling
  • Update and manage web-based properties include the client portal (user experience and content)
  • Assist in the writing of our client e-newsletter
  • Liaise with team members and other departments as required to enhance visual brand that meets client objectives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements
  • Support business units with writing and editing as required to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Ad-hoc analytical assignments and reporting as required

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing a degree in communications, marketing or public relations, or a related field (2nd year or above preferred).
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for finding innovative solutions to challenges.
  • The successful candidate will need to undergo the back check and bonding process.

HOURS

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • May 2026 to end of August 2026
