About the Role

Redwood Credit Union is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Marketing Communications (MarCom) Intern in their Junior or Senior year in college, to support our Marketing team across content development, campaign execution, and day‑to‑day marketing operations. This internship offers hands‑on experience working on real business initiatives while learning how integrated marketing supports brand awareness, Member engagement, and business growth.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, eager to learn, and interested in building a foundation in marketing and communications.

Internship Details

  • This position is for a full-time, seasonal internship – 40 hours per week.
  • This internship will begin on, June 8, 2026, and end on August 14, 2026 (end date can be modified based on fall college schedule).
  • Ability to provide a recent transcript will be required during the interview process.
  • This position is not eligible for benefits other than what’s required by law.

Preferred Majors

Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field.

 

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with marketing tools or social platforms is a plus.
  • Must be a Junior or Senior in college with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

Compensation

$23/hourly

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives across digital and traditional channels.
  • Assist with content creation, including social media posts, email campaigns, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Help coordinate marketing/comms projects, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct basic research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences.
  • Assist with campaign tracking, reporting, and performance summaries.
  • Support event planning, coordination, and post‑event follow‑up as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to ensure brand and message consistency.
  • Prepare draft press releases and Member communications.
  • Foster positive relationships with other Redwood Credit Union team members.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
