About the Role

Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Wealth Management Operations Intern in their Junior or Senior year in college. This position supports the Wealth Management team through project-based work. Key projects include building an internal resource page to centralize sales-practice tools and materials and streamlining our electronic wealth data by implementing a clear, intuitive folder structure. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the skills, systems, and knowledge used by successful financial advisors.

 

Internship Details

  • This position is for a full-time, seasonal internship – 40 hours per week.
  • This internship will begin on, June 8, 2026, and end on August 14, 2026 (end date can be modified based on fall college schedule).
  • Ability to provide a recent transcript will be required during the interview process.
  • This position is not eligible for benefits other than what’s required by law.

Requirements

  • Interest in finance or becoming a Financial Advisor.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Access preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Must be a Junior or Senior in college with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

Compensation

$23.00/hourly

Responsibilities
  • Foster positive relationships with other Redwood Credit Union team members.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and accountability in providing support to the Wealth Management Department.
  • Ensure all required account documents are acquired, updated, and scanned to Members’ Investment account.
  • Appropriately plan and organize daily work and projects, anticipating workload and foreseeing obstacles.
  • Maintain confidentiality of correspondence, documents, discussions, meetings, and telephone calls.
  • Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure timely processing of investment requests.
  • Perform duties specific to reporting/marketing/operations as assigned.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
