About the Role
<p><strong>About the role</strong> </p> <p>Occibo(occibo [.] com) is building an AI platform that helps creators turn a manuscript into a fully illustrated children’s book. You will research and document how books move from manuscript to publishing and help translate that into product features.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <p>• Research the children’s book creation process from manuscript to publication </p> <p>• Study editing, illustration, layout, and publishing workflows </p> <p>• Analyze platforms such as Amazon KDP, Lulu and IngramSpark </p> <p>• Document publishing steps, best practices, and industry requirements </p> <p>• Support product and design teams with publishing insights </p> <p>• Help review manuscripts, illustrations, and formatting examples</p> <p>Publishing interns often assist with editorial tasks such as reviewing manuscripts, researching titles, and supporting production workflows while learning how the publishing process works from submission to print.</p> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <p>• BA/MA student in Publishing, Literature, or related field<br>• Strong interest in children’s books and publishing<br>• Good research, writing, and documentation skills<br>• Interest in digital publishing and creative tools including AI</p> <h2 id="benefits">Benefits</h2> <p>• Real experience in children’s publishing workflows<br>• Exposure to AI-assisted book creation tools<br>• Work directly with founders building a publishing platform<br>• Opportunity to contribute to a global creator product.</p> <p>• <strong>Full-time or part-time internship</strong>, remote or Berlin based (hybrid possible). </p> <p>• <strong>Unpaid internship</strong>, designed for students pursuing BA or MA in Publishing, Literature, or related fields. </p> <p>• <strong>Preference for candidates with real book production experience</strong> such as self-publishing, editing, illustration coordination, or formatting projects. </p> <p>• <strong>Start ASAP</strong>, ideally within <strong>3-4 weeks</strong>, working directly with the founding team on real children’s book workflows.</p>
