YOUR ROLE 

You will work on the Real Time Dispatcher (RTD) system used to automatically propose which machine will process each lot, and on workflow optimisation via shelf/location management. Your goal is to improve flow, reduce waiting time and simplify shopfloor management.

Main tasks:

  • Observe and analyse the current lot dispatching process and RTD rules
  • Study the link between shelf locations, WIP organisation and RTD decisions
  • Collect and analyse data on lot waiting time, machine loading, priorities, mis-allocations
  • Propose and test improvements on RTD parameters, rules and shelf organisation to optimise flow
  • Help define or update standard practices for lot placement and RTD use for operators
  • Prepare simple reports and presentations on tests, indicators and results

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Technician level (DUT, Licence professionnelle or equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Production Management, Methods or similar
  • Interest in production flow, scheduling/dispatching and shopfloor organisation
  • Basic knowledge of industrial performance indicators (WIP, lead time, OEE, etc.) is a plus
  • At ease with Excel or similar tools for basic data analysis
  • Practical, rigorous, organised, and comfortable working on the shop floor with operators and technicians
  • Ability to read basic technical documentation; English is a plus
