This role is being created at an exciting time for Inclusive Durham at Durham University. Inclusion has been placed at the centre of the University’s overarching strategy, and we have a new Framework to embed.
The Inclusive Durham’s key role is to help create a culture for both staff and students. Our work aims to ensure that we:
Have the right leadership attributes;
Increase diversity at all levels by growing representation of under-represented groups, and develop new and existing opportunities available to members of those groups;
Enhance a sense of belonging and community in our staff and students; and,
Continually improve our approach to EDI.
This role involves assisting the Inclusive Durham with a range of activity relating to Inclusive Culture. This internship will provide an opportunity to gain experience, learn and develop new skills, undertaking a range of activities with support and supervision from colleagues. Interns will receive full training and will be supported on an ongoing basis by their allocated line-manager and team members.
