Job Description

DATA PREPERATION & VISUALIZATION

Identify and gather data from internal and external sources, assess data quality, perform exploratory data analysis, and structure data appropriately for modeling and analysis.

Develop a deep understanding of our users, products, and data to uncover opportunities for machine learning, optimization, and causal inference solutions that drive business growth.

Create clear, well-structured presentations and visual materials (e.g., PowerPoint slide decks) to share analyses, recommendations, and results with stakeholders.

 

DATA & STATISTICAL MODELING

Help build robust, data-enabled, and replicable data science models, including predictive models to forecast customer actions.

Use experimentation and causal inference techniques to measure the impact of business actions on key performance indicators.

 

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Engineering partners across the organization to design and deliver data science solutions for impactful business problems.

Communicate technical approaches, methodologies, and results to business partners in clear, easy-to-understand language, synthesizing key findings into actionable insights.

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in college/university as an undergraduate or graduate student

Previous internship experience in a Data Science role is a plus.

Advanced knowledge of statistics, SQL and Python (and popular packages) and popular visualization tools and techniques.

Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship

Demonstrated initiative through academics, work experience, or extracurricular involvement

Strong verbal and written communication skills

A deep love of data and high degree of data literacy gained through extensive experience working with data.

A growth mindset, with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new environments, and incorporate feedback

Comfortable speaking with employees and managers and asking thoughtful, open-ended questions

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Additional Information

The compensation for this position is $33 per hour.
