About the Role

 

The Opportunity:

As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere, St Ives, and (where relevant) the Perth office. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands-on exposure to the gold mining environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well-rounded capability across all key areas. This program offers genuine, real-world mining experience and the opportunity to see how your foundational university studies translate into practice.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current manual driver’s licence.
  • Completed your Tertiary Qualification in Environmental Science or similar by end 2026.
  • Vacation experience in a mining environment is ideal, but not essential.

 

About the Role:

  • Partner with key stakeholders in the provision of proactive environmental management plans (particularly land disturbance, water, waste and biodiversity)
  • Assist in the continuous improvement and maintenance of the site’s ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System
  • Coordinate and undertake site monitoring programs, data collection and analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with legal and organisational requirements.
