JOB DESCRIPTION             

This position is located in and will be reporting out of Columbus, OH. 

Position Title: Finance Intern


Reports To: Assistant Vice President Transmission Finance & Financial Planning


FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Basic Functions: Accounting or Finance major interested in gaining practical experience in a professional setting.


Essential Functions

  1. Assist with member related activities including collecting and monitoring member audit reports, populating and maintaining database of financial statistic data, providing updates on member financial health and member financing activities including bond anticipation note financings.
  1. Assist the Financial Planning and Analysis and Accounting groups with special projects related to the budget and accounting practices. 
  1. Perform other duties as assigned.



Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications:

  1. Must be currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university with achievement of sophomore, junior or senior status.
  1. Must have demonstrated analytical skills.
  1. Must possess excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  1. Must have a good working knowledge of software tools that produce items such as spreadsheets, written reports, and database reports (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  1. A good working knowledge of accounting/financial analysis would be a bonus.
