The Role

Tax and Accounting Intern

We are seeking to hire an undergraduate student majoring in tax or accounting to join us as a Tax and Accounting Intern. The successful candidate should be able to work part-time (1-2 days per week) during the academic year and transition to full-time employment over the summer.

You will be supporting both the Tax, Fund Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams by working on cross-functional tasks, including but limited to:

  • Identify exceptions and issues affecting accounting records and drive resolution
  • Reconcile internal records to our fund administrator and other service providers
  • Provide support for annual audits and compliance reporting
  • Provide administration support (ad-hoc services) for all teams
  • Facilitate the organization and management of internal and external documentation
  • Organize and respond to inquiries and notices from jurisdictions

 Job Requirements:

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher in major
  • Preferred Majors: Accounting
  • Current Junior year
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Familiar with Outlook and Sharepoint
  • Relevant experience in Accounting a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Self-motivated, responsible and reliable
  • Analytical, grasps data relationships and information logic
  • Organized and able to handle multiple priorities
  • Collaborative; team player
  • Attention to details and to customer/client needs

 

Our NYC office is located at 9 W57th Street, one block over from Central Park. We offer a wide variety of amenities (e.g., Wednesday lunch, a stacked pantry, and discounted membership fee for the building gym).
