About the Role

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Helpdesk Support Intern provides entry-level technical assistance to end users while gaining hands-on experience in a corporate IT environment. This role is designed for individuals pursuing a career in Information Technology who are eager to learn foundational IT concepts, customer support skills, and enterprise technologies.

Under the guidance of the IT team, the intern will assist with day-to-day helpdesk operations, basic troubleshooting, hardware setup, and documentation while learning best practices related to Microsoft 365, endpoint management, security, and IT service management. This is not a security or programming role and is intended to teach the candidate about core IT and support concepts.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General IT software troubleshooting, including Windows, the Microsoft Office Suite, and line of business apps 
  • Hardware troubleshooting including laptops, workstations, printers, networks, and building automation hardware 
  • Assist with and maintain the Office 365 and Azure environments 
  • Assist with management of servers and cloud infrastructure
  • Assist the organization with the deployment of new systems and technologies 


COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Entry level exposure to Microsoft 365
  • Basic to Intermediate Windows 11
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to triage, escalate, and ask for help when needed
  • Ability to follow instructions and properly document work
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Comfortable with and passionate about technology
