About the Role

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Security Analyst Intern will have entry-level experience with a broad array of technologies under his/her belt.  The candidate should be interested in Microsoft Windows, Networking, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Information Security, Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Purview. The candidate should have a logical and inquisitive mindset, able to take information from dashboards, identify issues, and translate those into solutions.  The candidate will report to the Manager of Information Security while working closely with the Sr. Systems Administrator.  The candidate will primarily be responsible for daily security incidents, assist with configuration of monitoring tools and assist with vulnerability scanning.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitoring alerting dashboards
  • Assisting with vulnerability analysis and remediation
  • Troubleshooting issues with security tools
  • Analyzing security events in real-time
  • Assist with management of servers and cloud infrastructure
  • Assist with Information, Network, and Endpoint Security
  • Assist the organization with the deployment of new systems and technologies


COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In school for Cybersecurity
  • Entry-level Windows Server 2019
  • Basic to Intermediate Windows 11
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter, ability to think critically and “figure things out”.
  • Ability to triage, escalate, and ask for help when needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfortable and passionate about technology
