Summary


The Digital Transformation Intern will perform a variety of duties to support the company in technological projects. The intern will participate in transforming current system infrastructure and data to a more digitized environment and maintain the integrity of the company’s information technology department. 


Responsibilities

  

  • Support daily accounting operations, including entering and updating financial      transactions and assisting with reconciliations.
  • Help prepare routine reports and basic financial analyses by compiling, reviewing, and validating data.
  • Maintain and organize financial documents for audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting.
  • Assist with accounts payable/receivable tasks and verify transaction accuracy.
  • Clean up and streamline documentation, spreadsheets, and workflows across systems and shared drives.
  • Participate in process reviews and contribute to efficiency improvements.
  • Support ad-hoc projects involving data analysis, reconciliation, or operational reporting using Excel and other tools.
  • Progress toward an Accounting degree; rising senior or advanced coursework preferred.
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts (debits, credits, journals, ledgers).
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data cleanup).
  • Experience with databases, Power BI, or reporting/coding tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to learn new systems and collaborate with multiple departments.

Requirements


Skills/Experience/Education

  • Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
  • Business Majors preferred.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
