About the Job

We are looking for a People & Talent Intern to support our HR initiatives across employee engagement, internal communications, and HR operations. This role is ideal for a Communications, Media, PR, or HR student who enjoys creative storytelling, social media, and building meaningful employee experiences.

You will work closely with the P&T team to refresh HR materials, support engagement programs, and improve internal people processes while gaining exposure to regional People & Talent operations.

 

Intern, People & Talent will be responsible for:

Employee Engagement & Wellbeing

  • Support the planning and coordination of monthly employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Help develop and maintain a People & Talent engagement calendar including cultural celebrations, wellness activities, and team bonding initiatives.

  • Contribute creative ideas to promote wellbeing, employee recognition, and team engagement across the organisation.

  • Assist in promoting engagement initiatives through internal communications and social media-style posts on internal platforms.

 

Internal Communications & Content

  • Support the creation of internal communication materials, posters, and employee announcements.

  • Assist in developing creative content to highlight employee initiatives, engagement activities, and people programs.

  • Help craft engaging internal social media-style posts, visuals, and communications to drive participation and awareness.

 

People Operations & Documentation

  • Assist in refreshing and redesigning onboarding decks for new hires to improve the employee onboarding experience.

  • Help review and improve exit interview questionnaires to gather better employee feedback and insights.

  • Support the documentation and organisation of internal People & Talent Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Assist in updating HR templates, resources, and internal documentation.

 

P&T Projects & Team Support

  • Provide general support for People & Talent initiatives and projects across the region.

  • Assist with research, coordination, and preparation of materials for HR programs and initiatives.

 

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Media, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business, or related fields.

  • Strong interest in employee engagement, internal communications, and HR operations.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh engagement and wellbeing ideas.

  • Comfortable with social media content creation, visual storytelling, and communication materials.

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Familiarity with Canva, Google Slides, or other content creation tools.

  • Experience managing social media pages, communications campaigns, or event planning.
