YOUR TEAM

To support our Central R&D Controlling + Efficiency team, we are currently looking for an intern / a working student. In your role you get first-hand experience in different controlling tasks and financial steering. The team is responsible for the R&D financial planning processes and managing CARIAD’s license and price controlling as well as the efficiency program. Therefore, you will gain valuable knowledge and insights into strategic, operational, and budget planning within the automotive software industry, as well as an understanding of the underlying business model with regard to license and pricing models. Furthermore, you will support within the finance system maintenance and development. Your future team will be located in different CARIAD locations within Germany, which means that a hybrid working model and occasional business trips will be required. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Contributing to quotation, invoicing, and accrual processes in close collaboration with our brand partners across the Volkswagen Group  
  • Managing the recurring license revenue calculation and reporting cycle for planning rounds, budget preparation, and forecasting activities  
  • Performing support and maintenance tasks within the financial systems landscape, particularly in SAP S/4HANA and BCS  
  • Assisting with operational, processrelated, and systemrelated aspects of various financial workflows, with a focus on the R&D budget and forecast processes  
  • Preparing and maintaining documents and datasets using MS Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Enrolled student in the area of Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (please include your expected graduation date or the anticipated end of your enrollment) 
  • Initial practical experience, strong interest, and enthusiasm for finance- and management-related topics and projects  
  • Good written and spoken English and German skills  
  • Motivation for working within a team and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues  
  •  A selfdriven and wellstructured working style  
  • Aboveaverage commitment, a proactive mindset, and flexibility 

NICE TO KNOW

  • Remote work options within Germany         

    Internship/Thesis:                 
  • Duration: 3 - 6 months 
  • 35 hours/week                     
  • Salary: 13,90 €/hour                 

    Working Student:         
  • Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to two years) 
  • 20 hours/week, up to 35 hours/week during the semester break 
  • Salary: 17,80€/hour
