What You’ll Do

The Legal Summer Intern at Authentic Brands Group (Entertainment) will assist in the Entertainment team’s daily tasks. You will have the opportunity to sit in on meetings and phone calls in order to observe and learn key legal communication and negotiation skills. 

 

What you’ll be Working on

  • Reviewing, summarizing and/or assisting with the preparation and drafting of agreements relating to intellectual property licensing (with an emphasis on trademarks and copyrights), entertainment, and media marketing (e.g., influencers and talent), and general commercial matters   
  • Coordinating directly and efficiently with colleagues from Authentic’s business development, brand management, and marketing teams
  • Assist in-house counsel with ongoing general matters for the Legal Department, as required in the day-to-day functioning of the Company and the Legal Department.

Must Haves

  • Must currently be in law school
  • Must be interested in learning about the industry
  • Must be able to be in our NYC office 
  • Must be able to work 2-3 days per week up to 20 hours per week
  • Must have strong writing and communication skills and a demonstrated interest in entertainment and in particular,  transactional law, with an additional preference/interest in intellectual property law and/or in licensing of entertainment/sports brands

 

Primary Location Salary Range

The hourly rate for an undergraduate student intern in New York is $18.
The hourly rate for a graduate student intern in New York is $22.
