About the Role

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

The Totus Tuus – OYM Internship provides a unique opportunity to support the mission of the Office of Youth Ministry by strengthening parish-based youth evangelization. This role will assist with the training, formation, and ongoing support of Totus Tuus missionaries, ensuring that young people across the diocese encounter the Gospel and are empowered to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

This role offers hands-on experience in youth ministry leadership, parish engagement, and event coordination, providing meaningful opportunities to contribute to the mission of the Church while developing practical skills for ministry and organizational support.

The Totus Tuus – OYM Internship is designed for those who desire to grow in leadership, organization, and pastoral support while serving the mission of the Church. This role will allow you to gain valuable skills in ministry administration, event coordination, and team development, all while deepening your own faith and contributing to the evangelizing work of the diocese. Previous Totus Tuus experience is preferred.

 

This opportunity is best suited for individuals who have recently completed or are currently pursuing a college degree.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Team Support
    • Prepare training materials and assist as requested.
    • Build relationships with missionaries and provide input for team placement.
  • Provide insights and feedback to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of the training.

 

  • Organize and maintain team supply bins.
    • Stock, label, and restock materials as needed; deliver to teams when necessary. Handle printing, copying, and purchasing of supplies.

 

  • Conduct parish visits and team check-ins at least weekly.
    • Support missionary teams in their ministry and team-building efforts.
    • Check in with parish coordinators at the start and end of each week; facilitate communication between teams and parishes.
    • Create and send feedback forms to parish coordinators on Thursdays.
    • Document notes, take photos during visits, and update social media.
    • Communicate daily with Diocesan Coordinator(s) regarding concerns or follow-up actions.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of Totus Tuus programs at the parish level.

 

Steubenville Conference Support

  • Assist with logistical and administrative tasks as assigned, including:
    • Communication with group leaders via emails and calls.
    • Inventory, storage, and organization of materials.
    • Preparation of nametags, lanyards, and load-in day support.
    • Housing and seating assignments.
    • Attend one weekend of Steubenville to provide on-site support.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the Office of Youth Ministry.

  • Start: Tuesday, May 26,2026
  • Attend: selected Totus Tuus training sessions at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (May 26–June 5).
  • End: Saturday, August 1
