Summer Intern - Creative, Austin

Giant Noise is a Texas-based integrated marketing and advertising agency combining PR, creative, and marketing strategy to create newsworthy stories for our clients through earned media, social media management, influencer partnerships, and brand storytelling.

We are seeking a candidate with a passion for visual storytelling, social media content creation, and branding - along with a sharp eye for aesthetics - to join our paid Creative Summer Internship. This hands-on opportunity will give the intern experience supporting the Creative team in producing high-quality visual content for major brands across Austin and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in developing content for a variety of client social media channels
• Support photo and video shoots, including assisting with equipment, food styling, and stepping in as a model when needed
• Edit photo and video content using industry-standard software
• Collaborate with the Digital Intern to plan and curate social media content calendars
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
• Assist with general administrative and production tasks as needed 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred candidates will be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Photography, Videography, Fine Art, Marketing, Digital Media, or Communications
• Must have access to reliable transportation and valid driver license 

SKILLS:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Rush)
• Experience in photography videography, and/or motion graphics
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Proficient in Google Suite and familiar with social media platforms
• Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others
• Strong problem solving capabilities
• Self-motivated with a drive to set and achieve personal goals
• Demonstrates initiative in learning industry knowledge and terminology

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sitting 85% of the time, standing 15% of the time
• Working hours vary within window of 9:00 AM CST - 6:00 PM CST, Mondays - Fridays
• Availability to work as needed on nights and weekends
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs
• Regular use of hands and fingers for computer use
• Everyday use of vision and auditory senses, including exposure to blue light from computers
• Work primarily indoors in an environmentally controlled setting
• Daily communication with peers, media, and clients
• Ability to maintain cognitive thinking and logical reasoning
