About the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Commercial Intern to join our Business Development team. Reporting directly to the AVP of Business Development, you will play a hands-on role in supporting the growth and optimization of our Unsecured Lending (e.g., personal loans, balance transfer) and Wealth Management verticals.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven student or recent graduate to gain direct exposure to the commercial strategies of the financial services sector, learn how to build and manage partnerships, and understand the mechanics of driving revenue in high-growth financial verticals.

The Intern, Commercial will be responsible for:

  • Market & Competitor Research: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitor product offerings, and market positioning within the unsecured lending and wealth management spaces.
  • Business Development Support: Assist the AVP in identifying, evaluating, and prospecting potential commercial partners, affiliates, and B2C clients.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on the performance of ongoing commercial campaigns and partnerships. Help prepare dashboards and presentation decks for internal stakeholders.
  • Operational Execution: Support the day-to-day operations of the commercial department, including drafting partnership proposals, taking meeting minutes, and coordinating with internal teams (Marketing, Product, Legal, and Compliance).
  • Strategic Projects: Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of new go-to-market strategies for lending and wealth products.

In this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Interest: A strong passion for financial services, FinTech, wealth management, or consumer banking.
  • Analytical Skills: Comfortable working with data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and PowerPoint is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information into clear, concise takeaways.
  • Attributes: Proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented. A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is not afraid to ask questions.
