About the Role

This internship offers hands‑on experience supporting Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Production teams by developing structured training systems for manufacturing operations. The intern will assist in building a tier‑based training structure, documenting processes, updating learning materials with SMEs, and translating content into Spanish. 

Essential Functions of the Job

The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:

  • Work with Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Production teams to create a tiered training system for production roles.
  • Assist in building a training matrix for each production line, including required skills, certifications, and proficiency levels.
  • Document training processes, including hands-on, classroom, and digital learning modules.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to update current training materials and develop new training content as needed, while maintaining revision control and version tracking.
  • Standardize formatting, structure, and terminology across all training materials
  • Advanced bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, including the capability to translate, proofread, and localize technical training materials while maintaining clarity, intent, and consistency across documents.
  • Assist in documenting work instructions, visual aids, and standard operating procedures.
  • Gather feedback from supervisors and operators to improve training effectiveness.
  • Observe production processes to identify gaps between documented and actual practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Recommended Education and/or Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a program related to Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or Instructional Design
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in training development, process documentation, or continuous improvement.
