About the Role

Description

The Accounting Intern helps review and process escrow money for drivers who leave the company, making sure the correct amount is paid back on time and according to company rules.


In this situation, “escrow” is money the company is holding for the driver temporarily, similar to a security deposit, until any final balances or issues are reviewed.


Essential Duties Job Duties

  • Check drivers' records to see if they had any accidents or still owe money to the company
  • Review accounting records to determine how much escrow money should be paid back
  • Calculate any interest the driver should also receive on their escrow money
  • Enter and organize payment information in the accounting system
  • Utilize EBH to complete the driver escrow cycle
  • Assist the Accounts Payable department with processing invoices and payments
  • Assist the Settlements department with issuing and managing fuel cards, issuing money codes and responding to emails from agents and drivers
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Current college or university student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Customer service experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills


Schedule - In Person, On Site

Minimum of 30 hours a week, 40 hours preferred

Hours are flexible within the range of Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
