About the Position:


Mountainside Treatment Center is seeking a motivated, creative, and curious Marketing Intern to join our New York City team for an immersive 10-week summer internship program. This internship is designed to expose you to a variety of marketing disciplines, including digital advertising, content strategy, brand storytelling, social media management, website optimization, and event promotion.


As a Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting and executing our marketing strategies while gaining valuable hands-on experience. You’ll collaborate closely with our fast-paced, mission-driven marketing team to support campaigns that raise awareness, provide helpful resources, and engage audiences in meaningful ways. If you’re someone who likes to learn by doing and cares about meaningful work, this role is a great fit for you.


Schedule:


Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm 

Additional hours outside of the regular schedule may be required to attend Mountainside events


Objectives of This Role:

  • Develop a foundational understanding of the strategic and creative processes behind building a strong digital presence in the behavioral health and mental health space
  • Contribute to strengthening Mountainside’s brand identity across digital and offline platforms
  • Learn how to measure and analyze marketing campaign performance and leverage insights for optimization
  • Assist in the creation, optimization, and distribution of compelling marketing content
  • Gain practical experience in executing marketing campaigns and supporting special projects

Responsibilities:

  • Support SEO efforts through website content updates, keyword research, and on-page optimization
  • Assist with social media content planning, drafting, and scheduling across platforms
  • Participate in team brainstorms, strategy sessions, and campaign planning meetings
  • Assist with the creation of written, visual, and video content for digital platforms
  • Conduct competitive market analysis and industry research to identify trends and areas of opportunity
  • Help the marketing team with other tasks, special projects, and events as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and current digital trends
  • Basic skills in graphic design and/or video editing are a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine curiosity about digital marketing, brand storytelling, and data-driven decision making

Compensation:


The base rate of pay for this position is $17.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
