About the Role

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career while working with an extraordinary team?  At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking Unpaid Masters Level Intern to join our team at our program in Mt. Airy Ave, Philadelphia, PA.

 

Position Details

The therapist serves as a key member of the treatment team within Merakey’s clinic-based behavioral health program. Core responsibilities include providing therapeutic services—individual, couple, and family therapy—conducting intake assessments, facilitating group therapy, and coordinating care in collaboration with the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor. The therapist is expected to actively engage clients, support ongoing participation in treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited master's level program, majoring in a human service-related field, including social work, psychology or clinical counseling.
  • Candidates must have sufficient weekly availability to meet experiential learning requirements. 
  • Practicum: Minimum of 15 hours per week 
  • Internship I and Internship II: Minimum of 20 hours per week.
