Program Description:

The Strategic Advisory group consists of one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years.  Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, energy, oil & gas, power & utilities, real estate, and technology, media & telecommunications. Our 10-week internship begins with an accelerated M&A training program, which is supplemented with additional training modules throughout the remainder of the internship program. 

Upon completion of training, Summer Analysts will work directly with the Oil & Gas Group. The Oil & Gas Group advises clients on a wide array of energy Strategic Advisory, as well as partners with other business units across the firm, including PJT Camberview, Park Hill, and the Restructuring and Special Situations Group. Summer Analysts will assume an integral role, with exposure to a full set of Analyst responsibilities often working directly with senior level bankers. The internship program will provide Summer Analysts with ongoing formal and informal training, in addition to high-touch mentorship across all levels. 

Responsibilities:

Summer Analysts will work on a wide range of transactions including sellsides, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, capital raises. Summer Analysts are expected to be involved in the development, structuring and financing of transactions and will have the opportunity to attend internal and client meetings, negotiations and due diligence sessions. Summer Analyst work will include: 

  • Financial analysis and modeling

  • Drafting of client presentations

  • Preparation of memoranda for internal and external use

  • Conducting financial and other business related research

  • Coordinating complex and often time-sensitive processes  

  • Assistance in the execution of transactions

  • Active involvement in client facing situations

Qualifications:

  • Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2026 – Spring 2027

Expected annualized base salary of $120,000.

This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience. Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives, and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
