Overview

Gallagher is executing a cost-effective global resource and vendor strategy with the goal of achieving a 60% onshore / 40% offshore model using third party providers in cost effective geographies with skillsets that meet our enterprise needs. The Global IT Resource & Vendor Supplier Relationship Intern supports and improves technology resources and vendor management processes.


How you'll make an impact

 

  • Support the IT Resource Supplier Preferred Vendor Program: Responsibilities include managing resource requests and processes, governance, SLAs, communications, change management, vendor scorecards, CSAT, and other performance metrics.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal consulting, procurement, and finance teams to develop and analyze comprehensive data related to resource costs and locations.
  • Drive Supplier Optimization: Continuously identify and implement efficiencies, while managing and optimizing supplier relationships, services, and SLAs.
  • Project Management: Oversee reporting and initiatives for other assigned projects
  • Communication: Attend daily calls to enhance knowledge and understanding of vendor governance processes and key components
  • Collaborate with Outsourced/Offshore IT Vendors: Partner with professional services IT vendors to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize Vendor Management System (VMS): Leverage the VMS tool to generate and analyze reports for vendor performance and operational insights.
  • Coordinate with Reporting Specialists: Work closely with reporting specialists to understand and interpret data from various sources.
  • Support Vendor Management Office (VMO): Assist the VMO in preparing information for Customer Satisfaction Surveys (CSAT), conducting analysis, and overseeing change management initiatives.

 


About You

Required:

  • Enrolled college student with 2027 - 2028 graduation date
  • MS Excel, large pivot tables, formulas and charts
  • Interest in Resource Management at enterprise level
  • Interest in HR, Talent Management, Procurement
  • Verbal and written communication skills – must be comfortable speaking and writing to various technical and procurement business resources
  • Able to work Central Time Zone hours

Behaviors:

  • Good relationship building skills, with the ability to maintain solid partnerships while challenging the status quo

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
