The Role: Industrial Digital Transformation Consulting Intern  

Mission (About the Role)  

Support Schneider Electric’s Industrial Digital Transformation consulting team in delivering data-driven assessments, digital roadmaps, and value-based transformation programs for industrial customers. The intern will work closely with consultants, solution architects, and business leaders to support strategy, analysis, and execution activities across end-to-end digital transformation engagements. 

 

What will you do?  

  

1. Digital Transformation & Consulting Support 

  • Support industrial digital maturity assessments, factory diagnostics, and operational data collection 
  • Assist consultants in analyzing customer operations across productivity, quality, energy, sustainability, asset performance, and digital operations 
  • Contribute to the development of digital transformation roadmaps aligned with customer business objectives 

2. Business Case & Value Analysis 

  • Support preparation of business cases, ROI models, and value hypothesis for digital initiatives 
  • Assist in mapping operational drivers to financial and sustainability outcomes 
  • Consolidate findings from assessments into structured insights and executive-ready materials 

3. Solution & Methodology Support 

  • Assist in solution mapping using Schneider Electric’s Industrial Digital Transformation methodology and digital portfolio (e.g. AVEVA, EcoStruxure, Advisors) 
  • Support documentation of use cases, reference architectures, and best practices 
  • Help maintain internal knowledge assets, case studies, and transformation frameworks 

4. Research & Market Intelligence 

  • Conduct research on Industry 4.0 trends, digital/smart manufacturing, OT/IT convergence, and sustainability 
  • Support competitive and industry benchmarking activities 
  • Summarize insights into clear, structured presentations and briefing notes 

5. Collaboration & Project Support 

  • Work with regional and country consulting teams on active customer pursuits and projects 
  • Support proposal preparation, customer presentations, and internal reviews 
  • Participate in internal workshops, enablement sessions, and project reviews 

What qualifications will make you successful? 

  • Graduate or undergraduate student in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation or equivalent 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Interest in Industrial Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0, data-driven operations, or sustainability 
  • Comfortable with data analysis and structured problem-solving 
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel; basic data analytics skills are an advantage 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
