About the Role

Summary:

The Graphic Design Intern will support Carlisle Construction Materials’ Internal Communications team during a summer, project-based internship in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. In this role, you’ll support internal communications initiatives through the visual execution of internal and employee-focused communications—bringing messaging and campaigns to life through on-brand, engaging design.

Working closely with the Internal Communications team, this role will support internal stakeholder projects by creating and adapting graphic assets across multiple platforms, including the company’s intranet platform, Workvivo, and traditional printed materials. You will help ensure visual consistency, clarity, and alignment with company brand standards while delivering impactful internal communications.

This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate graphic design, creative collaboration, and real-world project workflows that support employee engagement and organizational communication.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce graphic assets that support internal communications initiatives, including intranet content, digital graphics, presentations, and employee-facing materials.
  • Provide ongoing graphic design support for Workvivo, ensuring visuals are engaging, clear, and aligned with internal messaging goals.
  • Support internal function enablement by building, maintaining, and sharing on-brand design templates in Canva, empowering internal teams to create consistent, high-quality communications assets while adhering to company brand standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Internal Communications team to visually support written content, campaigns, and internal storytelling.
  • Maintain and apply company brand standards consistently across all design deliverables.
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions with the Internal Communications and Graphic Design teams to support campaign concepts and creative collaboration.
  • Perform revisions and updates to internal materials based on feedback from communications team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain design files and assets following established processes and naming conventions.
  • Manage assigned projects and deadlines while working collaboratively in a team-based environment.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Macintosh operating system, Adobe Creative Suite software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat, and Microsoft Office (MS Office). Familiarity with Canva a plus.
