About the Role

Position Overview

AISIN Mfg. Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician Intern to support production through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while developing technical and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance activities for machine downtime and preventative maintenance

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with repairs on production equipment

  • Assist in implementing process improvements and maintaining operational standards

  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and training requirements

  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support production needs

  • Complete additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Self-motivated with a customer-focused mindset


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques

  • Exposure to PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Omron) is a plus

  • Understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments


Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Technical degree or coursework preferred


Experience

  • 1–5 years of related experience preferred (intern-level candidates encouraged to apply)
