This is an exciting opportunity for a college student to get real world experience in international business.  The role will provide valuable help and learning in Valvoline's international supply chain with focus areas of customer service, supply chain planning, quality management, logistics, and purchasing. The person selected will provide analysis, support customers, and learn SAP functionality along with other valuable export supply chain experience. 

 

This role will be onsite working in a hybrid work format, with a requirement to be in the corporate office in Lexington, KY

*This is a 12 week on-site internship from May-August and will need to sit in Lexington, KY*

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Aid in developing and maintaining training and process documents for International Customer Service 
  • Analyze and resolve customer or quality issues discovered via incident reporting system 
  • Support  documentation and compliance of export customer shipments
  • Analyzing and process ocean freight and export logistic invoices
  • Communicate, analyze, and support supply chain performance metrics
  • Cross functional project work with marketing, sales, product management, supply chain, and directly with customers

 

What You’ll Need

  • A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking
  • In your collegiate sophomore year or higher pursuing, a degree in Supply Chain or Business related field 
  • Must have an interest and be persistent in problem solving
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Spanish language skills a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop training and communications
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
