Job Description

The Quality Intern will support on Quality activities within the manufacturing plant. This role involves hands‑on experience in Quality System Management, data analytics, problem‑solving, while contributing to initiatives that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure product conformity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting process and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in root cause investigations using structured problem‑solving tools (5 Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Support the development, revision, and maintenance of quality documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, forms, etc.
  • Conduct process, documentation, and workplace audits to verify compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Process teams to validate corrective and preventive actions
  • Help track and update quality KPIs and visual management boards when required.
  • Provide general support to the Testing Laboratory, including routine testing, equipment checks, data documentation, lab organization, and adherence to applicable test methods and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  •  Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field at an accredited college or university.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify issues.
  • Familiarity with basic continuous improvement or Lean concepts preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation discipline.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Learning Opportunities

  • Exposure to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and structured root‑cause tools.
  • Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing testing laboratory environment.
  • Close collaboration with Quality Engineers, Lab Technicians, Operations teams, and plant leadership.
  • Development of technical skills in data analysis, auditing, documentation management, sample testing, and process improvement.
