American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is seeking an Information Technology Intern to support our IT team with day-to-day technical operations. This role provides hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues while supporting internal users across the organization.

What You’ll Do

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Assist to provide support to end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and system issues
  • Assist to troubleshoot workstation, laptop, and basic network connectivity problems
  • Communicate solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical users


System Setup & Configuration

  • Assist to install and configure workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices
  • Assist to support setup of new user systems and equipment
  • Assist with maintaining system functionality across departments


IT Service Management

  • Document, track, and monitor support requests to ensure timely resolution
  • Maintain accurate records of issues, solutions, and system updates
  • Support IT team workflows and service processes


Project & Team Support

  • Assist with IT-related projects and system improvements
  • Stay current on basic technology updates and tools
  • Support additional IT initiatives and tasks as assigned


What We’re Looking For

Education

  • High school diploma required
  • Currently pursuing education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required


Experience

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with computers, laptops, and common hardware devices
  • Exposure to networking concepts or troubleshooting preferred

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, step-by-step manner
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I-9)
  • Eligibility to access information or technology governed by U.S. export control laws (including 10 C.F.R. Part 810, EAR, and/or ITAR), where applicable
  • Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and participate in randomized drug testing during employment
  • Ability to meet the posted work schedule and required hours
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Willingness to wear required PPE when in shop or manufacturing areas
  • Willingness to complete required safety, compliance, and role-specific training
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct aligned with company values and expectations


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and move equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry IT equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on-site full-time and support users across office and shop environments
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow internal IT and security policies
  • Must be available for the expected Internship Period is 05/18/26 through 08/21/26  


Work Environment

  • Professional office environment with daily computer-based work
  • Frequent interaction with employees across departments
  • Occasional presence in manufacturing or shop areas to support users and systems
  • Exposure to industrial environments when supporting shop floor systems (PPE required)
