People Creating Success is currently hiring Day Program Personal Trainers in Newbury Park to provide support to adults with developmental disabilities in daily activities. We are in search of compassionate, patient, and caring individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.
Part-Time, Full Time and Paid Internships are available
Our Day Program provides an innovative and unique approach to a site-based behavioral management program, our E3 Wellness Center addresses behavioral challenges from a health and wellness perspective. Our curriculum is focused on health education, healthy eating, and a variety of low to high-intensity exercise classes taught by certified personal trainers. With detailed data collection including behavior frequency and duration, dietary consumption, medication lists, and regular tracking of vital signs, we are seeing dramatic weight loss, decreased medication intake, reduced behaviors, and participants simply enjoying life more.
Some things you will help our Participants engage in are:
Yoga classes by certified yoga instructors.
Community Outings utilizing our company vans as well as public transportation.
Cooking classes used to incorporate nutrition and healthy eating habits into our participant’s days.
Curriculum that is personalized to meet our Participant’s goals such as Academics, Socialization, Focus Groups, Dancing, etc.

Job Requirements:
Must clear Live-scan background check
CPR/First Aid/AED certified a plus. We provide training if you are not certified!
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Must be certified by: NASM, ACSM,ACE or NSCA certifications
High school diploma (some college coursework preferred)
Excellent communication and hospitality abilities
Knowledge of anatomy, functional exercise, basic nutrition, and basic exercise science
Ability to achieve and maintain acceptable aggressive goals
Able to remain current on certifications, trends, and topics of fitness
This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 35 lbs. Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional demeanor, and clear communication.
