Westervelt Ecological Services restores and conserves wetlands, streams, and endangered species habitats across California. We partner with landowners, agencies, and organizations to deliver lasting ecological solutions.

Internship Overview

The Marketing Intern supports the Marketing Manager with content creation, events, and marketing operations. This is a hands‑on opportunity to build real‑world marketing skills while supporting meaningful environmental work.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and post content for social media, web, newsletters, and print materials
  • Capture photos and videos of fieldwork, habitats, and staff
  • Help coordinate events, conferences, and field days
  • Organize marketing assets and calendars
  • Assist with data collection for RFPs

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working both in an office and occasional outdoor field settings

Preferred

  • Interest in environmental conservation
  • Coursework in biology or natural sciences
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or video editing
