About the Role

General Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director, Quality Systems, the Quality Systems Support Intern will assist the Quality Team with interdepartmental relationships, administrative tasks, documentation management, process confirmations, performance improvement, and various projects. 

The Quality Systems Support Intern must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week not to exceed 40 hours. Flexibility in scheduling is required. The typical schedule will be Monday – Friday during normal business hours.

Travel between offices may be required.

Education and Experience:

  1. Candidates for the Quality Systems Support Intern position are individuals who are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with majors preferably in Business, Science, Medicine, or related fields.
  1. Currently enrolled in college

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  3. Must have a strong interest in healthcare; organ donation and/or transplantation.
  4. Local candidates only, stipend for living will not be provided.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Perform process confirmations and provide feedback summaries.
  2. Perform internal auditing activities.
  3. Compile data and information for internal reporting requirements.
  4. Assist with performance improvement initiatives.
  5. Assist with document control management through document review, revisions, publication and training documentation using quality management and learning management systems.
  6. Assist with donor record management.
  7. Support management with the organization of existing programs and systems.
  8. Participate in team meetings and provide input on project progress.
  9. All other duties as assigned.
