About the Role

Tax Accountant Internship

Remote (within WA, OR, UT, or ID) or Hybrid within Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA

The Tax team at Cambia is dedicated to providing world class financial services through excellence in people, processes, and technology. Join this dynamic team as an intern and gain real-world tax experience. This 12-to-16 week part-time internship is scheduled to begin in May 2026.

Duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

  • Contributing to the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns
  • Preparing monthly tax accruals and journal entries
  • Preparing quarterly tax reconciliations
  • Partnering on tax fixed asset accounting
  • Implementing process improvements
  • Assisting with financial examinations and tax audits

Position qualifications include the following:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Business Administration with an expected graduation date on or before May 2027. (Candidates who have obtained their degree within the last nine months are also encouraged to apply)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.25
  • Ability to think analytically and make sound judgments from analyses
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Passion for learning in the field of taxation
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

The base hourly range for this role is $25.00 - $30.00.
