About the Role

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The intern will be introduced to the corporate offices’ business functions such as Event Planning and Corporate Engagement, Compliance, and Legal support.

 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • College students studying business or other related degrees who are entering into their Junior or Senior year at an accredited College or University
  • Cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Previous internships/work and/or coursework experience Corporate, Compliance, Legal support.
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and other related platforms/systems
  • Out of the box thinking, problem solving, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Fluent in English, oral and written required.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

During the internship, the intern will participate in the following:

 

Event Planning & Corporate Engagement

  • Assist in planning CVR Energy’s 2026 Holiday Party at the museum of Fine Arts
  • Support coordination of the Holiday Heroes Charity Event benefiting children with cancer, including vendor coordination, logistics, and on-site execution
  • Help organize the Summer Family Day at the Houston Astros game, including ticketing, and event logistics
  • Provide support for executive events, board-related activities, and company-wide functions as needed

 

Compliance & Legal Support

  • Assist with compliance-related projects, including administrative policy updates and documentation
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on special projects as needed
  • Help ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation across internal materials
