About the Role
Overview

We are currently seeking a Transportation Operations Intern to join Primo Brands this summer in Breinigsville, PA. As a Transportation Procurement and Operations Intern at Primo Brands, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Procurement and Operations within the Transportation field by assisting with contract administration, business analytics and project management. This role offers a dynamic learning environment where you will contribute to impactful initiatives while building your professional skillset. Duration: Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – Friday, July 31, 2026. Must be available for orientation during the first week (5/26 – 5/29), final project presentation during the last week (7/27 – 7/31) and at least 7 of the 8 weeks between 6/1 – 7/24, excluding unpaid company holidays (Friday, 6/19 & Friday, 7/3). Any known absence must be communicated in advance to the Recruiter, Internship Program leaders and the Hiring Manager.


Schedule/Hours per week: Monday – Friday, 30 - 40 hours per week during the 10-week program. Ability to work in office 3 – 5 days per week based on individual team schedule. Remote workdays and overtime hours must be approved in advance by your manager.

Eligibility: Ability to commute to the Primo Brands factory in Breinigsville,PA throughout the program. Some travel may be required, including overnight. Currently studying in a Supply Chain, Business, or a related field at an accredited institution. Junior undergraduate standing preferred; motivated candidates at other academic levels will also be considered. This internship is designed as a paid professional experience and does not include academic credit.

Compensation: $24.00 / hour


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:   

  • Procurement Support
    • Assist with spot rate approvals (reduce number of spot rates YoY)
    • Contracting spot rates on a weekly basis after analysis while developing negotiation skills (goal: reduce actual rates by 3%)
    • Identify lane opportunities to reduce overall costs
    • Assist with administration of rate agreements with Uber Freight and carrier via DocuSign
    • Provide ongoing risk assessment of current providers
    • Facilitate carrier communications on performance
    • Utilize market tools to identify new potential carrier leads and vet as potential partners
  • Operational Support
    • Rebuild regional routing guides (centrally) to provide service to the customer with zero out of stocks at the lowest landed cost
    • Develop an audit tool for carrier and regional compliance in conjunction with procurement and load center team
    • Work within transportation management system to operationalize the execution of new routing guide
  • Internship Project
    • Develop AI process to streamline bidding events, contract management and compliance management
    • Develop an SOP for dispenser routing working cross functionally.  Consider outsourcing of dispensers management.
    • Deliver a final presentation or capstone project summarizing key learnings and project outcomes.  

Qualifications

  • Currently studying in a Supply Chain, Business, or a related field at an accredited institution.
  • Strong interest in supply chain management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing plant setting, including exposure to noise, temperature variations, and production equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on the production floor.
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to lift or move materials (up to 50 lbs.), as required
