As an Aerospace Engineering Intern, you will:

Responsibilities

A week in the life of an Aerospace Engineering Intern:

  • Contribute as a member of an advanced technical team focused on current challenges within the Department of War
  • Use modern digital engineering tools to support assessments and evaluations of DoW programs
  • Support performance of aerospace modeling and simulation as part our engagements with key programs 
  • Contribute as part of the DTE&A team to conducting aerospace system performance assessments, modeling of system dynamics and aerodynamics, subsystem and payload performance analysis, and documenting analytical outputs.
  • Assist with the following:
    • Evaluation of designs, developments, protoypes, systems of systems, and related command and control systems.
    • Develop, integrate, and validate models of aerospace systems and subsystems; assess systems performance in relation to mission models and requirements
    • Evaluation of test plans and execution 
  • May have the chance to work with various programming languages (C/C++, R, Python, etc), MATLAB, CAMEO, AFSIM and similar systems

Qualifications

  • High School diploma and 2 years of college or related work experience
  • May need to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $43,200.00/Yr. - USD $72,100.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
